Media planning and buying company, Media Agency Group, has opened a new radio spin off this morning in Salford Quays.
Radio Airtime Media will be dedicated to radio advertising campaigns and will run alongside the firm’s outdoor specialist areas -Transport Media and Out of Home International.
It will be headed up by Yvonne McCusker, who was previously in-house account manager at Bauer Media and GMG Radio.
“Our vision is to create a group of specialist divisions to promote our clients in the very best way using a standalone advertising opportunity or multi-format campaigns to effectively target their audience,” said McCusker.
Meanwhile John Kehoe, the managing director of the Salford Quays-based group, has big ambitions for the company:
“Aside from WPP and Aegis, It was baffling to me that there was not an independent ‘one stop shop’ for smaller clients and agencies [who cannot commit to a large spend] to turn to when planning marketing and advertising campaigns. As specialists filling this gap, the company grew overnight. We are plan to continue to develop into radio, press, online and television advertising.”
He added that he expected MAG to become “the complete advertising solution” with plans to double turnover (it had billings of £5m in 2011) and recruit “at least an extra 50 staff.”
The company was formed in 2010 with a team of 4 and now employs 14.
