Research undertaken by The People 1st Training Company shows that almost three in four Brits think customer service needs improving in the run-up to the Olympics, which is estimated to attract 8 million spectators to London.
Summer 2012 will be a hugely busy period for hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism businesses, and the eyes of the world fall on the UK.
The People 1st Training Company champions world-class customer service,
“With a potential £2bn in tourism revenue on offer, it’s the Olympics provides a once in a lifetime an unprecedented opportunity to transform international perceptions of our the nation’s visitor experience and create a lasting legacy for the future – delivering a healthy boost to businesses’ bottom line in the process!
Huge efforts have been made to prepare the infrastructure for the Games, but it is important that businesses don’t forget to address the softer skills that make a real difference to the visitor experience. We hope our radio campaign will remind businesses to think about their training needs ahead of the Games so they can capitalise on this golden opportunity. ” Communications Director, Lesley Potter, The People 1st Training Company.
The airtime campaign aims to attract business owners and developers to hire People 1st to train their staff in the run up to the Olympic period, before it is too late.
Radio Airtime Media recommended the adverts to run on LBC 97.3FM as the station’s core audience falls within the ABC1 demographic. The station describes itself as ‘London’s Biggest Conversation, which accompanies Londoners through their daily life’. The campaign will reach 1.16 million listeners across the two weeks, with an OTH of 5.6 times.
The airtime advert runs with the inspirational sound of a crowd cheering and various sporting sounds, and is accompanied by a ‘text mechanic’ in which listeners can text ‘World’ to 81156 for further information and a member of the WorldHost team will contact them.
